Payroll Year

Use the Payroll Year function to create new payroll years for the selected company. The process also performs some year-end maintenance.

You can leave as many payroll years active as you wish. Deleting prior payroll years is optional.

The function will change the status of employees that have been terminated in the current payroll year to 'Inactive', and update Payroll with the new calendar year.

Each year of payroll information has separate records in the Employee History and Withholding History

  1. Enter the payroll year to create in the Year field.
    Note: The company you currently are logged into appears in the Company field.
  2. Select, if applicable, a year from which you want to copy payroll data from the From Year field.
  3. Mark the Include Inactive/Terminated Employees check box if you want to copy inactive and terminated employees to the new year.
  4. Click the OK button to create the payroll year for the selected company.
